Artist Statement
Carrie Campbell Knutsen is a multidisciplinary artist and storyteller whose work flows from a deep well of intuition, sensuality, and soul. A painter, maker, and meaning-bringer, Carrie works across mediums—from abstract canvas to crochet, from heartfelt snail mail to spontaneous creative problem-solving. At the heart of it all is her belief in beauty as a living, evolving force.
Her artistic process is less about control and more about conversation. Carrie paints intuitively, responding to color, emotion, and energy in the moment—trusting the piece to show her what it wants to become. Her work doesn’t just sit on a wall; it shifts and speaks, inviting others to see more the longer they look.
She describes her life—and art—as a kind of kaleidoscopic journey: ever-changing, chaotically beautiful, and full of love, light, and transformation. Carrie’s passion lies not only in creating, but in connecting—helping others feel, reflect, and rediscover the creative spark within themselves.
