A Sigil For My Sister

Self love is many things to many people. Maybe it's your 15 minutes every morning with a coffee and a crossword. Maybe it's your monthly massage. Maybe it's your positive self-talk. Maybe you find love for yourself in exercise or nature. Maybe cozying up with hot tea and a book is the best feeling for you. Whatever it may be, it is vital to figure out how your mind, body, and spirit need to be loved and nurtured. Love for self begets love for others. Love for self begets light for others.

Soon after I posted my first personal sigil piece, my sister was ready with her intention! (Sister's Name) Practices Self Love. [MGNPTV] She's calling it in and may this work of art serve to remind her every minute of every day that she is worthy and deserving of receiving from herself the unconditional love she gives to so many others. She'll hang this in her room somewhere and maybe before she goes to sleep each night she'll contemplate what she did that day for her self love practice. She might begin each day with a centering pause, just a few moments to think of how she can maintain balance among all of life's challenges and distractions while also showing up the best ways she can for herself.

This personal sigil is featured in the center of the 9x12 canvas, protected by a thin border of space, a boundary between the inner sanctum of the symbol and the chaos of the outer influences.

May she find herself in this work, may she be reminded to nurture that inner sanctum first, may she know she is worthy, may the love float up and the light break through. There will be waves, winds, and roses ahead, may her self love practice prepare my sweet sister for every thing that comes along.
